These Tough Times

“These Tough Times” is a reflection upon the current economic conditions and how those conditions are impacting millions of people that are losing homes, retirement savings, jobs, vehicles and in some sad cases everything else.

Life is becoming a day to day struggle for many people and here we hope to provide news and information to help them and others find their way through these tough times.

The sad truth for the vast majority of us is that we have little if any influence upon current events and the best we can hope for is to soften the landing when we crash and without doubt many of us will crash, at least to some degree.

After all, we “working folks” are not part of the privileged class that get “bailed out”, showered with money and patted on the back by politicians willing to mortgage the future of our grandkids in order to save the “fat cats” of the mortgage industry, Wall Street, the auto workers union and of course the bankers, all of whom helped create the current economic nightmare in which we find ourselves.

It is up to us to survive on our own with little or no help from those that created this mess and the more we know the better the odds are that we will survive these tough times.
